On May 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov led a meeting on the development of the agro-industrial sector. The President ordered all the necessary measures be taken to prepare for wheat harvest in a timely and proper manner, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Noting the need to take an integrated approach to fulfilling the tasks of increasing crop yields, Berdimuhamedov instructed the high-ranking officials to ensure strict compliance with agrotechnical requirements for cotton and wheat growing.
The President ordered that the pace and quality of construction work on the facilities, which will be put into operation this year in accordance with the social and economic development programmes, be kept under control.
The President focused on the importance of conducting seasonal agricultural activities in a timely and proper manner and considered the important issues on which he made specific decisions and signed the documents.
