Germany announces its intention to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan

The high safety of investment in projects in Kazakhstan was noted.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Chairwoman of the Board of Germany’s Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser attended the 40th Meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club in Astana.

According to the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the meeting focused on key aspects of Kazakhstan-Germany cooperation, particularly trade and economic relations and investment.

Germany confirmed the political stability and safety of investment in Kazakhstan — the concessional investment guarantee scheme. Germany intends to develop joint projects in such sectors of the economy as agriculture, mining, metallurgy, energy, transport and logistics.

Roman Sklyar held talks with the members of the German economic delegation to discuss ways to intensify partnerships as part of the meeting.
