On May 15, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for a working visit to the Russian Federation to participate in the 15th International Economic Forum «Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum». Hero-Arkadag met with Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during his trip, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Berdimuhamedov and Minnikhanov noted the high level and positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, confirming the readiness of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan to boost interaction, which meets mutual long-term interests and is consistent with the strategy of interstate relations.
The interlocutors noted that Turkmenistan and Tatarstan are fostering an effective dialogue in various areas. In this context, the interlocutors noted effective joint work in the oil and gas, shipbuilding and chemical industries, the supply of aviation equipment and trucks, education, culture and art.
Taking this opportunity, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed that Turkmenistan is ready to strengthen and expand multifaceted cooperation with Tatarstan within strategic partnerships with the Russian Federation.
