Primorsky Krai-Tajikistan trade has increased tenfold

According to the Primorsky Krai Government, the indicator has risen through an increase in exports from Primorsky Krai.

Primorsky Krai continues to intensify cooperation with Tajikistan. Trade between Primorsky Krai and Tajikistan has risen to $1.3 million, which is a tenfold increase over the past 5 years, the press office of the Primorsky Krai Government reported.

Acting Director of the International Cooperation Agency of Primorsky Krai Alexey Kolmogorov dwelt on the growth in bilateral trade and economic cooperation during a meeting with Consul General of Tajikistan in Novosibirsk Nazhmiddin Imomzoda.

Kolmogorov said Primorsky Krai plays a significant role in building international and foreign economic relations of Russia due to its location next to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The regional authorities are actively working to strengthen cooperation with the CIS Member States. Kolmogorov emphasised that trade with Tajikistan has risen mainly through an increase in exports from the Primorsky Krai. However, he noted the need to strengthen interaction between the region and the Republic.

The Russian side is ready to facilitate negotiations between Tajik companies and the wholesale distribution centre and trade networks of Primorsky Krai to supply Tajik goods to the region. The parties considered establishing contacts with the Far Eastern Federal University to implement exchange programmes for the training of linguists.
