President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company James Quincey. They discussed the launch of a Coca-Cola plant in Samarkand Region and the opening of the fifth plant in Namangan Region by 2025, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
Coca-Cola İçecek, a subsidiary of the Turkish Anadolu Group is the exclusive partner of the Coca‑Cola Company in Uzbekistan. Currently, three Coca‑Cola plants operate in Tashkent, Urgench and Namangan Region.
The interlocutors noted the positive dynamics of the development of partnerships between Uzbekistan and foreign partners in the food industry. The Republic is taking consistent efforts to implement green solutions and energy and water efficiency technologies.
Mirziyoyev emphasised the importance of boosting innovation and research activities and training industry specialists. The parties agreed to expand the investment programme, widen the product range and increase production.
Mirziyoyev instructed the Uzbek authorities to adopt a «road map» to accelerate the implementation of promising projects.
