Tajik Deputy Prime Minister and ADB President hold talks in Tbilisi

The parties discussed promoting a “green economy” and economic reforms in the Republic.

The Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held its 57th Annual Meeting in Tbilisi in early May. Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Khokim Khalikzoda held talks with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa as part of this event, the press office of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic reported.

Khalikzoda reported on the current economic situation in Tajikistan and the overall situation in the region.

Khalikzoda had meetings with ADB Vice President Yingming Yang and a representative of the European Investment Bank Teresa Czerwińska to discuss promoting economic modernization of Tajikistan and advancing towards a «green economy».

The agenda also covered the funding of major public investment projects, the effects of climate change and the attraction of investment in strategic projects in Tajikistan.
