Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva and Chairman of Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali held a meeting in Dushanbe. The interlocutors focused on strengthening interparliamentary ties and monitoring the implementation of bilateral agreements, the Telegram channel of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly reports.
Narbaeva and Emomali agreed to develop a roadmap, which would help improve the mechanism for joint monitoring of the implementation of high-level agreements.
They noted that Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have been reliable partners for many years. Over the past five years, the two countries have significantly expanded trade and economic relations. In the future, they intend to increase bilateral trade to 1 billion rubbles.
