Kyrgyzstan denies rumours of mass refusal of entry of Kyrgyz citizens into Russia

However, the Ministry recommended that Kyrgyz citizens temporarily put off unnecessary travel to the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan officially denies information about mass refusal of entry of Kyrgyz citizens into Russia. However, the Ministry recommends that Kyrgyz citizens temporarily refrain from travelling to Russia unless they have urgent reasons to visit the country, the press office of   the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Ministry officials advise that citizens who need to visit Russia closely monitor the lifting of additional security control requirements at the Russian border established earlier. If travel is necessary, then it is important to check in advance for any restrictions.

The Ministry said it has not received any outgoing messages about frequent refusals of entry of Kyrgyz citizens into Russia. Furthermore, the events in Russia and their impact on the status of citizens of Kyrgyzstan are being monitored continuously. The Ministry advises that citizens who have found themselves in a difficult situation contact the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan or the Consular Department of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Various sources have reported about mass refusal of entry of Kyrgyz citizens. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Imangaziev said dozens of his fellow citizens were unable to enter Russia. Many of them were denied entry without explanation.
