President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov opened a new building of the Coordinating Centre for Cybersecurity of the State Committee for National Security. The Centre is stuffed with state-of-the-art equipment, hardware and software, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
It will coordinate the activities of government agencies and computer incident response centres to ensure cybersecurity and identify, prevent and suppress cyber-attacks.
In his speech, the President emphasised that ensuring cybersecurity of digital infrastructures and services, which are being actively promoted in Kyrgyzstan, is one of the crucial aspects of countering such modern challenges.
He noted that active measures are being taken to boost digital transformation of the national economy and provide citizens with access to modern electronic services.
The President highlighted the importance of applying the cybersecurity best practices of partners and advanced international experience. Japarov promised that the Government would continue to ensure all the necessary conditions for effective work.
