Tokayev offers condolences to UAE’s new President

The President of Kazakhstan noted the enormous contribution made by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the UAE’s economic phenomenon and success in the international arena.

On May 15, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev paid a visit to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, where he met with newly elected President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the press office of Akorda reported.

On behalf of all citizens of Kazakhstan and on his own behalf the leader of Kazakhstan offered condolences and words of support over the death of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Tokayev said over the years of Sheikh Khalifa’s presidency, the UAE, along with domestic socio-economic growth and in the international arena, has become an advocate of peace and stability in the Middle East. The United Aram Emirates have become an indicator of rapid development for all Arab countries. In this context, the Kazakh leader highlighted the contribution made by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to intensify multifaceted Kazakhstan-UAE contacts.

The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election and expressed his firm belief that the Emirates under his wise leadership would continue to develop rapidly.
