President of Uzbekistan thanks for Kazakh leader’s help with traffic accident that left 8 dead

The President of Uzbekistan expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan’s assistance in transporting the dead bodies to the homeland.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev for his support after the traffic accident on the Shymkent-Samara highway in Aktobe Region of Kazakhstan, which resulted in the death of 8 Uzbek citizens, UPL.24 reports.

Mirziyoyev expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s valuable assistance to the departments of Uzbekistan, noting that the joint efforts of the two countries allowed determining the causes of the tragedy. He highly appreciated the role of the services in Kazakhstan in transporting the dead bodies to the homeland.

The fatal traffic accident occurred on April 3 at the 678th kilometre of the Shymkent-Samara highway near Marzhanbulak village in Aktobe Region of Kazakhstan.

a Toyota Alphard minivan and a Volvo truck collided, resulting in the death of the driver and 7 passengers. The law enforcement agencies reported that the cause of the traffic accident was a truck flat tire. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which led to the fatal collision.
