Partnerships between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the industrial sector has great potential, Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Gohar Barseghyan said, the press office of the Eurasian Economic Commission reports.
The Minister visited the Chirchik Industrial Technology Park during her visit to the Republic. According to Barseghyan, the Park is a vivid illustration of fruitful partnerships between the EAEU and Uzbekistan, where Russia’s expertise in creating industrial infrastructure is tapped into as effectively as possible.
Gohar Barseghyan emphasised that the EAEU Member States are seeking to implement innovative projects and heavily invest in modern technologies and strategic projects, including the mechanical engineering, gas chemical, metallurgical, textile and food industries.
Barseghyan expressed belief that the enterprises in the EAEU Member States should boost the usage of resources of the technology parks in Uzbekistan. This will contribute to increasing the number of joint projects and give impetus to relations between Uzbekistan and the EAEU. This may result in creating the largest manufacturing hub in Central Asia.
