On April 26, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with the Arkadag FC squad during his working trip to Arkadag City, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.
The meeting took place at the multidisciplinary stadium in the smart city. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited a training session of the football players, after which he talked with them. Hero-Arkadag asked them about their mood on the eve of new matches and the club’s financial aid. The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised that the state would further promote Turkmen football to bring it up to the international level and noted FC Arkadag’s victory in the Turkmenistan championships.
Arkadag, the youngest football club in the country was founded in 2023 on the initiative of Hero Arkadag. It consists of the strongest players from other teams who have helped FC Arkadag won the champion title and the Turkmenistan Cup in its first year of existence.
Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that the squad will make every effort to win the upcoming tournaments and wished them every success.
