Tajikistan provided assistance to Russia in investigating the terror attack in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow Region. On April 4, RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov expressed gratitude to the Tajik side in his welcoming speech at the presentation ceremony of the Russia-Tajikistan Friendship Society.
The Minister said the organisers wanted the criminal action to provoke hostility among the peoples of Russia. In reality, everything happened differently — the peoples rallied. Dushanbe provided prompt assistance in determining the circumstances of the terror attack.
«We are grateful to the leadership of Tajikistan for their words of support and compassion at this difficult moment. We appreciate prompt assistance in investigating the circumstances of the tragedy,» the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quotes Sergei Lavrov.
The Minister called on the CIS and SCO Member States not only to join forces in the fight against terrorism, but also to strengthen friendly relations. Lavrov emphasised that the West is pursuing its efforts aiming to split these international organisations.
