Russian military servants donate blood to patients in Tajikistan

A blood donor session for the military personnel of Russian military base 201 took place at Military Hospital 451 of the RF Ministry of Defence.

The military personnel of Russian military base 201 in Tajikistan decided to voluntary donate blood and its components to local citizens in need of medical care, the press office of the Central Military District of Russia reported.

They donated blood on the territory of Military Hospital 451 of the RF Ministry of Defence. 2 mobile laboratories of the Republican Scientific Blood Centre under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan were used.

These laboratories are stuffed with advanced equipment and use special laboratory reagents to conduct blood tests and rapid diagnostic tests for infectious diseases and determine a blood group and Rhesus factor. One mobile laboratory can collect blood from up to 100-120 donors per day, and a blood collection procedure takes about 15 minutes.
