Vladimir Putin has won Russia’s presidential election with 87.97% of the vote with 99.7 percent of the vote counted. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated him on the successful presidential election.
Press Secretary of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov reported on the congratulatory message. In his message, Mirziyoyev emphasised that Putin has won a convincing victory.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed belief that the high voter turnout and high percentage of ballots cast testify to the trust of the majority of Russian citizens and support for the political course and social and economic reforms of Vladimir Putin.
Mirziyoyev concluded his message with the wishes for good health and wellbeing to Putin and peace and prosperity to citizens of Russia.
As was reported, nationwide voter turnout in the Russia’s presidential election was 74.22 percent.
