Vladimir Putin has received over 87 percent of the vote in Russia’s presidential election with 99.7 percent of the vote counted. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram to his Russian counterpart, congratulating him on his victory. The message was posted on the website of the leader of Tajikistan.
«I cordially congratulate you on your convincing victory in the presidential elections. The election results are another vivid confirmation of your high political authority and broad support by Russian society for your state course to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the country and strengthen its international positions,» the message says.
The President of Tajikistan emphasised that strengthening strategic partnerships with Moscow is of tremendous importance for Dushanbe. Rahmon noted that Vladimir Putin’s contribution facilitates the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
The President of Tajikistan highlighted his commitment to working further with his Russian counterpart to bring interstate relations to a new level.
