Vladimir Putin has gained an absolute majority of votes in Russia’s presidential elections, as evidenced by over 99.7 percent of the vote counted. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev congratulated him on his victory.
The President of the Republic emphasised that the election results illustrate enormous nationwide support for Vladimir Putin’s strategic course during a telephone conversation.
The two leaders discussed promoting interstate cooperation and agreed to further actively interact to strengthen partnerships between the countries, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
As was reported, over 87 percent of Russian citizens voted for Vladimir Putin.
