Construction work has started on the office buildings of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies in the capital of Tajikistan. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali attended the ground-breaking ceremony, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.
The 18-storey building of the Ministry of Culture will rise in Ismoili Somoni region. Its total area will be 7,712 square metres, and it has a basement and 80 offices. The project is expected to be completed in 2 years.
The 16-storey building of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies will rise in Shokhmansur. Construction work is to be completed by 2026.
The building of the Ministry of Education and Science, which will rise in the same district, will have 18 storeys and a basement. The 2-storey building with a dining room and a conference room with 640 seats will adjoin the ministry building. It will house the branches of several institutions, including the Republican Centre for Search and Development of Talents, the Centre for International Programmes and the Academy of Education, among others.
