President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated women of the country on International Women’s Day — March 8. The President emphasised that the veneration of the mother as the support and dignity of the family and an example of high morality is one of the age-old traditions of the Turkmen people, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
Berdimuhamedov said the contribution of mothers to raising the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and humanism is highly evaluated in the country. The country is proud of women who not only raise children, keep the family hearth warm and maintain national traditions, but also work in various areas of government activity and contribute to the implementation of large-scale reforms.
The President noted that today the state provides women with all kinds of benefits, ensure their decent life and constructive labour and promote gender equality at the legislative level. The President assured that consistent efforts will continue to respect the rights and interests of women, support the family and protect motherhood and childhood.
