Kazakhstan to launch over 500 rural health care facilities in 2024

Construction is underway to achieve the first target of the National Project.

In 2024, Kazakhstan plans to build 556 primary health care facilities in rural areas. According to the press office of the Ministry of Health, Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova reported on the implementation of the first stage of the Modernisation of Rural Health Care National Project at the government meeting.

To date, the akimats have held tenders and concluded 109 construction contracts, of which 99 contracts provide for the co-financing of 10% with local executive bodies, while the funds for 58 facilities will be allocated from the republican budget.

The National Project has the three targets: the first target is to build primary health care facilities in rural areas, including the construction of 655 primary health care facilities (257 first-aid posts, 238 midwifery stations, 160 outpatient clinics).
