All Children Succeeding Activity launched in Uzbekistan

The initiative will be aimed at promoting inclusive teaching and learning and creating a comfortable learning environment for teachers and schoolchildren with disabilities.

On February 20, Tashkent hosted the launch ceremony of the 5-year All Children Succeeding Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The heads of ministries, representatives of the UN and public organisations, persons with disabilities and international education experts attended the ceremony, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported.

The main aim of the programme is to support three essential areas related to inclusive education. These are accessible and inclusive teaching and learning materials, teacher practice and school atmosphere, and sustainable policies developed together with educators and people with disabilities.

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov addressed the ceremony. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of cooperation among the parties to improve the quality of higher and vocational education.
