The Armed Forces Day celebrations will take place on a large scale in Dushanbe. The working group discussed the programme of events, Sputnik reports.
The participants of the meeting, led by Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe Abdurakhmon Abdurakhmonzoda, discussed the plans to hold the Fourth Festival of Officers and Soldiers under the motto «I serve faithfully to my people and state». The Dushanbe committee on youth and sports is responsible for organising the events.
The officials were tasked to monitor and organise various sporting, cultural and educational actions as part of the celebrations.
According to the Mayor’s Office, Dushanbe will host the Second Festival «Soldier’s Song» on February 23. The programme of festive events includes visits to military units, meetings of military servants with their families and festive lunches for military servants.
