On February 19, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online meeting on the development of the agro-industrial sector. The President heard reports from the velayat hyakims on the progress of agricultural work in the regions, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.
Berdimuhamedov emphasised that quality agricultural work should comply with agrotechnical standards. In this context, the President instructed to continuously monitor the care for wheat fields, planting of vegetable and melon crops and preparation of land and high-quality seeds for the cotton campaign.
The President highlighted the importance of timely and properly performing works in 2024 to achieve the objectives of the Social and Economic Development Programme and the National Rural Program.
The President instructed the velayat hyakims to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of heating systems at social facilities and electricity, natural gas and drinking water supply to the population.
