On February 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard a report from Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakiyev on the work done by the agencies under his supervision in January 2024 during the government meeting. The President ordered that the quality of passenger services be improved, the Turkmenistan: Today National News Agency reported.
The President also ordered that further measures be taken to introduce digital technology in the transport and communications sectors and gave the Director General of the Agency specific instructions in this regard.
Chakiyev reported that the growth rate of work and services performed in the sectors under his supervision stood at 116,1%.
He reported that the growth rate in freight transportation services the cargo transportation sector stood at 102,5% and passenger transportation services — 103,7%.
High performance indicators were recorded in Türkmendemirýollary — 103,8%, Türkmenawtoulaglary — 106,8%, Türkmenhowaýollary — 162,8%, Türkmendeňizderýaýollary — 106,2% and Türkmenaragatnaşyk — 110,5%.
