On February 15, the first meeting of the heads of parliaments of member states of the Group of Friends of Neutrality «The Role of Parliamentary Cooperation in Strengthening Peace and Dialogue» was held in a hybrid format at Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan: Golden Age e-Newspaper reports.
The speakers of parliaments from different countries, the heads and representatives of international and regional organisations attended the meeting.
The Turkmen side noted that Turkmenistan successfully implements parliamentary diplomacy in compliance with the legal status of neutrality. Establishing bilateral and multilateral relations with foreign parliaments and participating in the work of international parliamentary organisations are an important tool for supporting international initiatives of Turkmenistan.
The participants noted that Ashgabat is increasingly promoting the agenda of peace, development and cooperation at the global and regional levels, offering constructive solutions to current global and regional problems.
