On February 13, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with Chairman of Leonardo S.p.A. Stefano Pontecorvo. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for promoting cooperation, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reports.
The President noted that Italy ranks among the important partners of Turkmenistan in Europe. Traditionally friendly bilateral relations demonstrate the progressive dynamics. Fruitful contacts between the countries in the trade, economic, energy and private sectors play a significant role in fostering constructive interstate dialogue.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Turkmen side is ready to consider specific proposals from Leonardo S.p.A. to use the potential of satellite communications.
Stefano Pontecorvo assured that Italy’s business circles are seeking to build up mutually beneficial ties with Turkmenistan and thanked the President for a substantive, detailed conversation on key aspects of cooperation. The businessman added that the Italian partners will continue to take the most serious and responsible approach to fulfilling their obligations.
