President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali put forward a proposal to officially establish World Football Day at the UN level. His video message was posted on the official Telegram channel.
Emomali emphasised the importance of this sport for the global community, noting that football has been playing a role in uniting people for over 150 years. He proposed adopting a special UN resolution to acknowledge the significance of football as a global cultural phenomenon that can overcome differences and speak a universal language.
The President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan emphasised that this sport has become not just a game, but a powerful tool for bringing people together, regardless of nationality, language or social status. He expressed belief that football has the potential to become a powerful factor contributing to convergence and understanding between different cultures and nations.
