On February 9, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard the report on the measures taken by the Government in 2023 to improve the national health care system during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Turkmenistan: Today National News Agency reported.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nurmuhammet Amannepesov reported on the work done in 2023 in the education, science, health care and sports sectors under his supervision.
He reported that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care sponsored hundreds of paediatric surgeries.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that schoolchildren and students made a significant contribution to raise the prestige of Turkmenistan in international education by winning medals of the international subject Internet Olympiads.
Commenting on the report, the President emphasised the need to ensure access to quality health care services and develop Turkmenistan’s pharmaceutical industry.
