The goalkeeper for the Tajikistan football team and FC Istiklol from Dushanbe Rustam Yatimov received a new Toyota Corolla as a gift. The keys were handed over by General Director of Taj Motors Ahmadjoni Muhammad, the Khovar National News Agency reported.
Yatimov has won the hearts of many football fans and deserved this valuable gift with his outstanding performance at the 2023 Asian Cup, the website of the football club says.
As was reported, as soon as the Tajikistan football team had reached the Asian Cup quarterfinals, Chairman of the Football Federation Rustami Emomali awarded all its members. The team received a total of $450,000 for their achievements: $300,000 for the qualification for the Round of 16 and $150,000 for the qualification for the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Tajikistan lost to Jordan in the Asian Cup quarterfinals.
