President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to conclude one-year contracts with the social sector ministers and apply a key performance indicator (KPI) to them, the press office of the President of the Republic reported.
Addressing the meeting on the tasks for the current year in education, healthcare, digitalization, culture and sports, Mirziyoyev noted that currently 13 ministries and departments coordinate the social sector. The President expressed concern about the large number of problems existing in this sector.
In particular, 7 health ministers have reshuffled over the past 7 years, but digital transformation of the health sector and the introduction of health insurance are slow.
