On January 29, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting at which the crucial tasks in the construction sector were discussed. He identified the key vectors of development and instructed to switch to the «resource design and construction method» in the sector, the press office of the President of the Republic reported.
He informed about the plans to start construction on 1,637 infrastructure facilities throughout the Republic in 2024. However, Mirziyoyev noted that the heads of the sector and regions have not yet established an effective system for using funds from the budget. The President expressed concern about the cases of theft and misuse of funds.
The President instructed to switch from the «volumetric design and construction method» to the «resource method». The latter focuses on the final result, while the former takes into account many factors, including the number of workers, the volumes of fuel needed, required equipment, etc.
