President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu to discuss priority areas of cooperation between the two countries. The interlocutors focused on steadily expanding strategic partnerships and bringing the two countries to allied interaction, ASIA-Plus reports.
President Rahmon emphasised the good results achieved last year and the intensity of Tajikistan-Kazakhstan relations this year. The interlocutors called for the further effective development of mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as trade, industry, energy, agricultural industry, investment, tourism, culture and education.
Nurtleu met with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Mukhriddin in Dushanbe. The issues under discussion included the preparations for the upcoming visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Dushanbe in 2024.
