Mayor of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali said 13 schools for 28,000 places and 55 kindergartens for 10,000 places are now under construction in the capital of the Republic. He made this statement during the government meeting, which was attended by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, ASIA-Plus reports.
Rustami emphasised that the priority tasks for the heads of Dushanbe are to improve conditions at educational institutions and the quality of education and professional training of teachers. In 2024, it is planned to commission 5 one-shift educational institutions for 6,400 places. Over the past 7 years, 42 educational institutions for 70,000 places and 22 preschool institutions for over 3,000 places have been built and put into operation in Dushanbe.
The Mayor reported that construction work on factories in Dushanbe was speeded up. They produced goods for 4.2 billion somoni during the reporting period.
Work is now underway in Dushanbe in the framework of the city master plan. Emomali said construction continues on 407 facilities — these are various buildings.
