President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Qatar Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani signed 9 new cooperation agreements during the state visit of the Tajik leader to Qatar, Asia-Plus reported referring to the press office of the President of Tajikistan.
These documents include a Memorandum of Understanding on emergency management and an Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation.
Tajikistan and Qatar agreed to promote cooperation in science and education. They signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on museum development and a Programme for Action in education and scientific research. They also agreed on charitable and humanitarian activities.
As was reported, all the documents were signed following the one-on-one talks between the two leaders. The agreements are designed to boost economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
