President of Tajikistan reduces traffic police staff by 30 percent

The President of Tajikistan instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to dismiss the senior employees who had failed to perform their duties and violated the law and military regulations.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed the Decree authorising to reduce the staff of the Department of State Automobile Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by 30 percent, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported.

According to the Decree posted on the official website of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, this decision was made to improve work efficiency of the Department of State Automobile Inspection. The document states that the Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan are to bring their acts into compliance with the Decree.

Speaking at the meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, Emomali Rahmon expressed his concern about the detection of serious shortcomings and irresponsible behaviour of the heads of law enforcement agencies, supervisory authorities and law enforcement agencies.

«The President of Tajikistan paid particular attention to certification — internal staff inspections at the Department of State Automobile Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and ordered the staff of this government agency be reduced by 30 percent,» the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
