Uzbekistan to introduce sustainable entrepreneurship rating

Businesses will be grouped into 4 categories based on such criteria as payment discipline, period of activity, etc.

On January 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the presentation of a sustainable entrepreneurship rating that will be introduced in the country. The project is aimed at creating new opportunities for businesses in 2024, which is a key priority of the economic policy of Uzbekistan, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

83 trillion soums and $275 million will be allocated in loans and subsidies to implement this initiative.

It is planned to introduce the rating system to measure the sustainability performance of businesses in the country. Businesses will be grouped into 4 categories based on several parameters, including profitability level, financial discipline, business experience, etc.

An entrepreneur can track his ranking in real time. According to the authorities, this can serve as an incentive for business activity.
