Lukashenko offers military-industrial cooperation to Tajikistan

At the meeting, the President of Belarus emphasised that he has no closed topics to discuss with Dushanbe.

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda held a meeting in Minsk. The interlocutors discussed key aspects of bilateral relations, including potential military-industrial assistance of Belarus, the press office of the President of the Republic of Belarus reported.

President Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that Belarus is ready to cooperate with Tajikistan in developing the military-industrial sector and ensuring security. He said he has no closed topics of relations with Dushanbe and called to openly discuss what Belarus can do to help.

Lukashenko noted that economic cooperation lays the groundwork for interstate relations and expressed hope that trade between Belarus and Tajikistan will grow. The President of Belarus emphasised that the current level of bilateral trade is insufficient, given the existing potential, and urged to increase it.
