On January 11, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Mary velayat. Hero-Arkadag held a meeting on the socio-economic development of the region during his working trip, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.

Hero-Arkadag paid attention to monitoring the construction of industrial and social facilities. In this context, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the importance of constructing and commissioning buildings and facilities in compliance with schedule.
The Chairman of Halk Maslahaty highlighted the significance of the events marking the 300th birth anniversary of the oriental poet Magtymguly Fraghi. In this regard, Hero-Arkadag said it is advisable to arrange meetings and contests among young people, singing and music performances, conferences and exhibitions.
