On January 8, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey Ahmet Demirok. The interlocutors discussed the prospects of cooperation, Turkmenistan: Golden Age reported.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current state and opportunities for promoting partnerships, emphasising the special role of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Business Council. They highlighted the importance of training and internships for Turkmen specialists and youth in Turkey that significantly contribute to improving the national education system.
«I firmly belief that there are ample opportunities for boosting political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between our countries, and these relations will get stronger in the future,» the President said.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the Ambassador of Turkey every success in his responsible diplomatic activities aimed at fostering constructive interstate dialogue.
