President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev believes that cooperation with China is extremely important for Kazakhstan, and there should be no fears brought in from the outside or driven by ideas of bygone days. He said this in an interview with the state-owned newspaper Egemen Qazaqstan, the press office of the President of the Republic reports.
Tokayev called China a highly developed state, one of the strengths of which is high technology. This primacy is recognised all over the world. The President of Kazakhstan said relations between the Republic and China are developing in the spirit of friendship, good neighbourliness and eternal strategic partnerships.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that bilateral trade is demonstrating unprecedented growth and reached $24.3 billion for the 10 months of 2023, hitting new record high. Tokayev added that personal contacts between the leaders of Kazakhstan and China reflect the high level of cooperation between the two countries, and Kazakhstan-China relations can confidently be called exemplary.
