President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov addressed foreign investors on his page on social media, urging them not to fall for deceptions. He asked his compatriots to stop fraudulent activities.
Japarov noted that the Republic has begun to attract many foreign investors in recent years, and the country can hardly develop without foreign investment, Sputnik reports. The President expressed regret that some investors have been deceived by entrepreneurs, and now they are filing complaints. Law enforcement agencies detain fraudsters and return their money to investors. However, such cases undermine the reputation of Kyrgyzstan.
He urged to put an end to fraud, emphasising that it is much safer to work with government agencies, including the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Investment Promotion Agency. He also recommended working together with the heads of regional, district and rural departments to ensure successful investment activities.
