Rossotrudnichestvo delivers training course to journalists in Dushanbe

The training course comprises many subjects, including IT and psychology.

In Dushanbe, the Higher School of Journalism and Media Communications of the Kazan Federal University (KFU) presented a unique project for journalists, developed at the request of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Tajikistan.

The Telegram channel of Rossotrudnichestvo reports that this is the first project to be implemented from the concept to the selection of topics and speakers. Head of the Representative Office Ivan Ivanov noted that this course is relevant in the face of a wave of fakes. Assistance in understanding modern tools that help identify fake news from real news is needed.

The lecturers included the theorists and practitioners from Moscow and Kazan; the classes were conducted offline and online for two weeks. Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of KFU Leonid Tolchinsky emphasised that the additional vocational training programme covers a wide range of topics, from IT technologies and psychology to new journalistic formats.

The training course aroused interest among counterparts in other countries. It is in demand in Russia and a number of the CIS Member States.
