Russian Language Ambassadors in the World visit Kazakhstan

More than 48,000 schoolchildren and students have taken part in the programme for 8 years.

The Russian Language Ambassadors in the World educational and awareness-raising expedition is taking place in the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2 to 10 December, the press office of A. S. Pushkin Institute reports.

The programme participants include 8 volunteers, including experienced and novice Russian language ambassadors, a methodologist Tatyana Viktorovna Kudoyarova, Associate Professor at the Department of Russian Literature and Intercultural Communication at A. S. Pushkin Institute and an organiser, Head of the Department of Project Support Tatyana Nikolaevna Vashchenko.

More than 48,000 schoolchildren and students from Russia and foreign countries have taken part in the programme for 8 years.

Every year, volunteers go on educational and awareness-raising expeditions to different countries of the world where they present and contribute to promoting the Russian language. They work with schoolchildren and students not only from the CIS; their “portfolio” includes Abkhazia, China, Cuba, Peru, Portugal, Turkey, Croatia and Ecuador.
