President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Minister of Investment of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which is taking place in Dubai, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports the details.
The interlocutors discussed the implementation of joint investment projects and signed several agreements, including a Memorandum on low-carbon energy generation with a total capacity of 10 GW in Kazakhstan and an Intergovernmental Agreement on a 1 GW wind power plant project.
Tokayev noted the importance of sustainable partnerships with AD Ports Group to transform the ports of Aktau and Kuryk into the main maritime hub on the Caspian Sea. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for implementing joint projects between Presight and Samruk-Kazyna and strategic agreements on artificial intelligence.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasised readiness to maintain the current dynamics of the expansion of bilateral relations and support investors in the Republic.
