The Russian House in Khojent donated a large number of books in the Russian language to the two schools in Sughd Region of Tajikistan, the Telegram channel of Rossotrudnichestvo reported about the charity event.
The handover ceremony took place on November 23. 800 textbooks were handed over to the primary classes of Lyceum 1 in Kanibadam town. 700 textbooks on the Russian language, literature, history, biology and other subjects were handed over to the Contact International School in Isfara.
The officials of the RF Consulate General in Khojent took part in the handover ceremony. Director of the Russian House in Khojent Tatyana Mudrova emphasised that the textbooks, which were handed over as part of the action, will help children gain new knowledge. She reminded senior schoolchildren about the opportunity to study for free under the government quota at Russian universities.
As was reported, Rossotrudnichestvo donated over 1,000 textbooks to the Presidential School in Buston. The school provides training in two languages.
