President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon paid a visit Azerbaijan, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reports.
Rahmon took part in the Summit of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in Baku. The SPECA Programme was launched in 1998 to boost cooperation among the Member Countries.
The leaders of the countries of the region discussed important issues of economic cooperation, identified new tasks and signed several documents aimed at strengthening economic cooperation.
Rahmon was greeted at the airport by First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yaqub Abdulla oglu Eyyubov and other officials. The press office of the President of Tajikistan reported that the airport square was festively decorated with the national flags of the two countries, and the Guard of Honour lined up to greet the distinguished guest.
As was reported, the CSTO Summit in Belarus ended on November 23.
