President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a meeting with Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, who reported on the main development indicators of Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector for the past 10 months, the Telegram channel of Akorda reported.
The President was informed about the achievements under the Concept Agro-Industrial Sector Development until 2030. The plans for further improvement of the industry were presented.
Minister Saparov informed Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in detail about the results of the harvesting campaign, difficult working conditions of farmers this year and support measures provided by the Government.
The President set specific tasks for the Minister to develop the industry for the next 5 years, in particular to double gross agricultural output. These tasks can be fulfilled by implementing structural and institutional reforms, improving the state support system, providing farmers with concessional financing and subsidies, diversifying sown areas and promoting agricultural science.
