Russian rubble rises in Tajikistan

The National Bank of Tajikistan, led by Khokim Kholikzoda, reported that Russian rubble has risen by 4 somoni.

Since early November, the Russian currency has risen by 4 somoni in Tajikistan. According to the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, the current official Russian rubble to Tajik somoni rate is 1 to 0.1232, ASIA-Plus reports.

Until November, 1,000 rubbles were sold for 119.2 somoni. Now 1,000 rubbles can be sold for 123.2 somoni.

However, we are talking about the official rate in the country. Other banks in Tajikistan buy rubbles at their internal exchange rates. For example, Amonatbank offers 118 somoni for 1,000 Russian rubbles, and buys the Russian currency at the rate of 116 somoni for one banknote of this value.

“Since the beginning of the month, the exchange rate of the US dollar and the euro has remained almost unchanged. In early November, 1 US dollar costs 10.9527 somoni; today it costs 10.9546 somoni, the euro to somoni exchange rate was 1 to 11.6757, and currently it is 1 to 11.90,” the National Bank of Tajikistan, led by Khokim Kholikzoda, reported.
