President of Kyrgyzstan visits Saudi Arabia to attend Summit

The delegation of the Republic also included the members of the Cabinet of Ministers.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov arrived in Saudi Arabia for a working visit. He will participate in the Extraordinary Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He was greeted by Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Deputy Governor of Riyadh at the airport, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports.

The Summit will focus on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which remains one of the most pressing problems in the region.

The Kyrgyz delegation also includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Administration Muratbek Azymbakiev and Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov.

The programme of the visit includes meetings and talks with representatives of other states and the leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. A key aspect of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy is to support sustainable development and cooperation in the region, and participation in such events contributes to strengthening friendly relations and expanding interstate interaction.
